Mauritius Research and Innovation Council
Dashboard & Monitoring System
The Mauritius Research and Innovation Council (MRIC) is a government agency dedicated to promoting research, innovation, and technology-driven development across Mauritius. It plays a pivotal role in funding and monitoring scientific and technological initiatives that contribute to national growth, sustainability, and competitiveness. MRIC collaborates with public and private sector stakeholders to support projects that align with the country's strategic priorities in areas such as health, agriculture, energy, and digital transformation.
The Dashboard and Monitoring System project was initiated to provide MRIC with a centralized platform to track the lifecycle of all funded initiatives—whether approved, ongoing, completed, closed, or terminated. The system was developed as a turnkey solution by nVisionIT and included the migration of existing data from Excel sheets, implementation of user management features, and the setup of dashboards, analytics, and audit logs. The platform was designed to offer real-time visibility into project statuses, financial disbursements, and performance metrics, enabling MRIC to make informed decisions and ensure accountability across its portfolio.
